- MCA Detroit Human Resource Department - Apprenticeship outreach to Minorities, Women and Detroit Residents
- Code interpretation
- Interpretation of Standards
- Plumbing and Mechanical Library, including industry textbooks, codes, standards, publications and videotapes
- Formal ongoing education/safety training programs for trades people, foremen, supervisors
- Telephone consultation for jobsite situations
- Liaison with industry and government
- Computer assistance from our IT staff person
- A full-time staff working on behalf of and promoting our union-employing contractors interests
- Networking with other local, state and national association executives in the interests of our contractors
- Our contractors’ voices, opinions and concerns are heard at local, state and national levels
- Safety officers can participate/promote training in the Safety Committee
